Erica
Hörteborn
– PhD, Architect & Structural engineer
I am an architect and structural engineer with a PhD from Chalmers University of Technology. My research explores how knitted textile structures can interact with wind in urban settings – work that forms the basis of KnitWind, a prototype project combining digital design, sustainability, and aesthetic functionality.
With more than a decade of experience in architecture, material optimization, and computational design, I work at the intersection of creativity and engineering in interdisciplinary contexts.
